If you find yourself in hot water regarding a legal issue or you simply need help with your taxes, our Legal Cover is just for you.

Who is covered?

We’ll give you, your spouse, and up to four dependent children that are unmarried or unemployed under the age of 21 or are full-time, registered students under the age of 25 legal support in and out of court.

The entry age is 18-years-old.

What will it cost?

The monthly premium will depend on the plan chosen in relation to litigation cover.

What is covered?

We’ll cover you for a full range of Basic legal, Mediation, and Litigation services, and even for identity theft cases. The Basic benefit gives you 24-hour unlimited telephonic legal advice even for pre-existing matters. The Mediation benefit assists with drawing up contracts and agreements, as well as negotiations on your behalf. The Litigation benefit includes court representation for labour, family, criminal, and civil matters. Plan A has no divorce cover, plan B includes unopposed divorce cover, while Plan C includes opposed and unopposed divorce cover, and maintenance matters. We have three Legal plans, so you choose the one that best suits you.

There is no waiting period on the Basic and Mediation benefits and you’ll receive unlimited cover on these. The Litigation benefit has a one- to three-month waiting period as per the litigation plan chosen. A waiting period is a period during which no insurance cover is provided and monthly premiums are payable. Our three Legal plans differ on Litigation cover:

Plan A: R55, 000 cover p.a., R55 monthly premium, three month waiting period.

Plan B: R75, 000 cover p.a., R75 monthly premium, three-month waiting period.

Plan C: R120, 000 cover p.a., R110 monthly premium, one-month waiting period.

Extra details

The main member will get personal income tax assistance with registered tax practitioners during tax season. This includes:

  • Completion and submission of tax returns.
  • Completion and submission of provisional tax returns.
  • Advice on salary structuring.
  • Tax planning.
  • Dispute resolution with SARS.
  • Objection on assessment(s) from SARS.
  • Calculation of capital gains tax.
  • Calculations on donations tax.
  • Assistance with assessment audits.
  • Advice on all of the above.
